I'm Ellen Martin

About Me

I am a current MS Data Science student at the University of New Haven. I previously worked as a Resesarch Technician at the Yale University Rutledge Lab, a cognitive computational psychiatry lab. I am interested in combining my background in neuroscience and psychology with current approaches in data science to improve mental health research and inform clinical practice, particularly as we consider the role AI may play in future mental health care. In addition to technical data science skills, such as R, Python, MATLAB and SQL, I have experience working with clinical and vulnerable populations, and a wide variety of client populations. I have published original research in multiple top-tier journals and at international conferences. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss my work. Urban Crash Risk Radar

A web application that allows users to view the predicted risk of car crashes in a given city. The risk score is calculated using an XGBoost machine learning model trained on 8 years of national crash data.
